All the students of GCET,Jammuwere guided and mentored on various projects held in DIC lab under the supervision of Mr.Vijaypaul Singh. The projects included- Bus arrival detection, Smart Traffic light system. Pollution checker ,Drone ,Emotion sensor using AI etc.The students were introduced to various new concepts and were made aware of the ongoing latest technologies.This visit proved to be beneficial ,inspiring anf knowledgeable for all.

A team comrising of two studets, namely Harshita Puri and Rajwinder attended the Poster Presnetation Session on the theme: “Society-driven Tcehnological Innovation & Research(STIR-2019) at CSIR-CSIO, Chandugarh. Prof. R.K. sinha, Director CSIO was the Chief Guest of the event and in his speech he encouraged students to take up society focussed research projects. Participants from various colleges and universities of Chandugarh and Panjab attended the one-day event.

On 3rd June,2019, The DIC interns has presented autonomous UAV’s, which can Navigate on its pre-set path or way-points without any human inlovement. The speed and altitude of navigation between way points can be controlled as per requirement.

We had attended Smart Cities India 2019 expo from 22-24 May 2019 at Pragati Maidan,New Delhi. During teh eventwe learned basic concept of IoT System Design,Water monitoring,Hoem Automation/ IoT ,Smart IT and Communications,latest trends and disruptions imoacting in Automotive, Healthcare, Pollution Monitoring ,and also the fast adoption of emerging technologies,including IoT,AI,AR/VR,Robotics , Machine Learning & Block chain. Overall the workshop was fruitful for us in the corrresponding fields.
